Dugan Floral and Grape Marigold Carnival Glass Pitcher
This beautiful pitcher is the Floral and Grape pattern made by Dugan Glass in 1910 and 1911. The design features bunches of grapes with detailed leaves, stems and curling vines along with small flowers in golden marigold carnival glass with touches of purple iridescence. Standing 9.25” tall, this jug has a ruffled rim and a clear applied handle. As is typical for glass from this period there are mold seams, bubbles, straw marks, and some small inclusions on the bottom and a larger one in the handle. No chips, cracks or damage aside from some very minor use marks on the lower part of the interior not visible from the outside.
Per ddoty: Both Dugan and Fenton made very similar patterns that collectors have come to call Floral and Grape. Dugan's version of the pitcher has bands of diagonal lines slanted to the left on both the neck and the body. Fenton's lacks the lines around the neck and those on the body slant to the right |
