This charming silver plate server by Rogers Bros has an elegant design of winding vines, leaves and grapes curling around the handle and trailing onto the face of the piece. In the 1940’s and 50’s, jelly roll cakes were the height of elegant entertaining, and the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s were the height of popularity of silver plate flatware and so we have the silver plate jelly roll cake server! However this lovely piece is not limited to the jelly roll, it’s a wonderful server for tortes, cheesecake and solid jellies such as cranberry sauce. Just cut, lift and serve, tres chic! Measuring 8 1/2“ this server is in very good condition with only two teenie tiny surface pits and minor use or polish marks.
