terling silver carving set in the popular Prelude pattern by International Silver Co. This beautiful set consists of an 11" stainless-prong roast carving fork and a large 12" stainless blade roast carving knife. These lovely pieces are well balanced and have a nice weight, making them very comfortable in the hand. The Prelude pattern, featuring an ornate floral design with leaves and vines on the tip and heel of the handles, was introduced in 1939 and is still in production today. This set was purchased at an estate sale and was quite tarnished, indicating that these are older pieces. Both pieces have been lightly polished; the decision as to whether to polish further will be left to the new owner. Stamped "Sterling Handles" on the side of each piece in extremely tiny print. Excellent condition - no dings, dents or scratches. No monograms. Very, very, minor use marks if one looks closely. Really lovely!
