Federal Glass Company located in Columbus, Ohio began operations in 1900 and finally closed its doors in 1979.  Federal made many well-know patterns including Madrid, Georgian Love Birds, Diana and others from the Depression years.  Their most popular Mid-Century Modern pattern is Atomic that is still eagerly sought by collectors.  Federal continued into the second half of the century with Park Avenue, Petal, Golden Glory and many other designs for dining, kitchen and commercial use.
